Hope Springs is a breath of fresh air providing horticultural therapy days thanks to new funding.

Hope Springs Horticulture were awarded £49,800 using money raised by Health Lottery East Midlands.

This award will allow the group to provide horticultural therapy days for three days a week all year round and will run activities on an allotment site based in a large park just outside Worksop town centre in Bassetlaw, North Nottinghamshire. The project aims to improve the lives of people living in the Bassetlaw area whose lives are seriously affected by enduring mental illness. It will address the issues of mental ill health, social and emotional isolation and poor physical environment.

Helen Power from Hope Springs Horticulture says: “Thanks to money raised through The Health Lottery, we have been able to provide horticultural therapy sessions for sixty vulnerable adults across North Nottinghamshire”.
