Tackling health inequalities
Health Lottery East Midlands exists to tackle health inequalities across the East Midlands. It raises money to help reduce health inequalities its region. It does this by running a society lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust, to develop local interventions.
We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invests these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.
This grant making trust funds local people who have great ideas about how they can make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

Green Synergy in Lincolnshire were awarded £34,433 by People’s Health Trust, using money raised through The Health Lottery in the East Midlands.
This project will address anti-social behaviour and social isolation experienced by young people and adult residents of the Tower Estate in Lincoln. The project will run a weekly session for children and a weekly adult social group based within an existing community garden. These activities will build community spirit, enhance local community cohesion and make positive and lasting changes. Local residents will be supported to develop and manage the project.
